Weekly ELSAMARIT Edition - My Motherhood

I am celebrating my second Mother's Day as a mom of two and my third as an actual mom, I'm still taken aback by the journey I've embarked upon. With two little boys just 14 months apart, it's been a whirlwind—a blend of messy, unexpected, wonderful, exciting, tiring, and downright magical moments, often all at once! Ha! Here are the top three things that have truly shaped my motherhood journey thus far:

Self-Care is Non-Negotiable: Amidst the whirlwind of motherhood, prioritizing self-care isn't just important—it's essential. Nurturing my well-being enables me to show up as the best version of myself for my family. While self-care has always been a guiding principle in my life, it has taken on new depth and significance since becoming a mother. It’s hard but a must for me to show up as best I can everyday.

Trust Your Instincts: In a world brimming with advice and opinions, I've come to realize the importance of trusting my instincts as a mother. While I appreciate the wisdom shared by others and value the insights gained from books and research, ultimately, it's my intuition that guides me through the uncertainties and decisions of parenthood. Each motherhood journey is unique, and trusting in my own instincts empowers me to navigate it with confidence and as much grace as I can muster :)

Embrace Imperfection: Shocker: Motherhood isn't about striving for perfection. A lesson I learn everyday in almost every moment—it's about embracing the beautifully messy journey. Learning to accept imperfections with love has fostered an environment of authenticity and joy within our family. It's a daily practice—one filled with moments of hilarity and challenges—but through it all, I'm learning to appreciate the beauty in the imperfect moments.

These three principles—self-care, trusting instincts, and embracing imperfection—have become my guiding light, steering me through the highs and lows of motherhood with grace and gratitude. As I reflect on the journey thus far, I'm filled with a profound sense of appreciation for the lessons learned and the growth experienced. Here's to embracing the beautiful chaos of motherhood and cherishing every moment along the way. Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible mamas out there! 🌸💕
